A big thank you to Rishi Shori, Deputy Chief Executive of Birmingham City Council, Sgt Rule from West Midlands Police, representatives from Highways, KIER, and the Royal Sutton Coldfield Town Council for taking the time to engage directly with residents.

Thanks to all our speakers and local councillors who came to support

These meetings are an important opportunity for local people to raise concerns, receive updates on key issues, and help shape priorities for our community. Thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to another constructive evening.

It’s always encouraging to see such strong community engagement, interest in the ward’s future and to get feedback on what residents want to see for where they live.

Wylde Green has benefited from a range of road safety improvements in recent years, including bollards to prevent dangerous pavement parking outside a primary school, a new pedestrian crossing point to help families cross safely, 20mph zones, improved crossing facilities, speed awareness signs, speed cushions and enhanced road signage.

Keeping residents safe- especially children walking to and from school- remains one of my top priorities. I’m continuing to campaign for further road safety improvements across Wylde Green and will keep working with residents and the Council to make our roads safer for everyone.
