Delighted to see the instillation of our new ‘Thomas Island’ – a refuge island on Penns Lane following a petition started by Thomas- a Yr6 Student at Penns Primary, and Gurmeet Singh a resident on Penns Lane.
This petition is a number started to improve road safety for residents in Wylde Green, part of my ongoing committment to road safety in my ward.
The crossing point has a number of positive effects, not just enabling a safe crossing point for students, families and residents, but it alsos narrows the road encoraging slower driving.
